Just picked up a p5

Hey everyone,

I recently (by recently I meant 2 days ago) picked up a p5 from a family friend cause the deal was way to good to refuse. Was planning to save up for a newer car that can get 30+ mpg (going to school everyday, poor student, etc), but this was an offer I couldn't refuse.
Not new to cars, but new to the mazdas so I hope everyone here can help me out in my times of need!

I don't know what more to say, but uhhh hope to talk you other p5 owners and all that other good forum stuff!

Welcome I've had my P5 for 3+ years and I love it. Adding a 3GT to the roster, planning to fix the p5 (if the money is there) take it to a track..

Great cars. I can't speak for fun of autos but the 5spd is fun to drive. Also the motor is the same internally as the mazdaspeed protege, so it's easy to piece together a kit from the market place and make the pro5 more fun.

What he said. ^ they're zippy little motors through the windies. Sadly the same at least for mine can't be said. 12 sec 0-60... Treat her well and drive carefully and you should be able to squeeze out 20+ mpg
