It's been a long time....

It's been a while since I've driven my snarling beast....but I just noticed since the weather has cleared up a bit and I can get on it. My car makes this cool, wild, tornado whirlwind noise when I have it at half throttle....Now this noise is not the whirrrring of the turbo but another extra sound.....At first I thought it was my exhaust since it is a 3inch pipe and the forced air flowing through it is making that woosh sound....but on closer inspection it is my CAI....Man I am glad I went with this setup...Kind of funny I didn't hear it before. Ohhh let me not forget...just in two days since I have driven my baby...some punks have tried to get some...mostly...rustangs...and one GTI. I launch around 2.5K(which has worked well for me)...The Eibachs seem to have given me less wheel hop I suppose. Well needless to say I have redeemed the slowP3 image we had...with the look on their faces. But I have to really feel sorry for this one fella who was trying real hard to impress this girl in his convertible stang...All I remember was them smiling and laughing at my exhaust (saw them pointing at the rear of my car) one minute and the next.....(wow) they heard my blue beastly chipmunk snarl and leap into pony kickin action. When I checked the rearview I could see the poor girl had that disappointed look.....like damn why am I not in his car. I love it when I make people catch the vapors

Paul ur setup looks beast, even I can't wait to see what you can do once you got all your mods hooked up, LSD, AWR mounts....mannnnn that is going to be grip, grip and more grip. Although I don't see the need to have my clutch upgraded with the amount of boost I am running ....but then again...I don't do high rpm launches. Also the spool springs is gonna give you just the right drop for better balance....although I haven't really seen a good picture of what the blue MP3 looks like with those springs??? So post pics soon...I think I'll post some of my pics shortly....now that the weather has given us a break.

HKS stainless universal with a 4.72" shell & a 2.95"pipe. The exhaust note is DEEP ....I mean you can literally feel it in your chest if you were standing next to it while revvin...while ideling it just makes a low burbuling sound. Let's just say the people who share my underground parking at work hate it when I come in and set off all their alarms.

I will probally be installing the springs in about 2 weeks, there is still snow on the ground up here so i might wait a liltle longer. I will be sure to take pics.

i have noticed it too. i thought i was crazy cuz i would hear it and i would ask people to see if they would hear and they would tell me i'm crazy.
