Not sure if anyone else has seen this, but PLX Kiwi makes a Wifi enabled diagnostics system. The system has a wireless transmitter that plugs into the ODB II port and transmits wirelessly to an IPod Touch / IPhone. (not classic, unfort).

Product website:

On Crutchfield:

This system yields any number of additional gauges and trip information.

Seems much cheaper than adding multiple gauges or buying a separate trip computer.

I'll look into one myself when I can convince my wife to let me buy a new Ipod touch :D

Here is a sensor list for one program - quite impressive.

Lol I feel like there is an app for everything. Its a neat idea, something to look into, but my question is if you use the Itouch and are not within a wireless network if it will still sync with your car? hm... idk i didn't find any information on it on the product website.

You're right that it doesn't mention either way, but I have to guess that it talks directly though the wifi (not needing a router) - or else, how would you do the rally function.

Chatted with my brother on it, and we guess that they don't use BT so it wont interfere with a headset / handsfree.

I was thinking that it would be funny to combine this with a skydock - but maybe that's asking a little much of an Ipod.
