hey anyone know how large the inner diameter of the radiator hose going form engine to radiator is?
looking to install an inline radiator temp sender for an aftermarket gauge
looking at this specifically http://prosportgauges.com/water-temp-sender-radiator-hose-adaptor.aspx unless someone else has any recommendations.
also any pros and cons of using a different coolant line? figure using the radiator house would just look less clean, and also woudnt fully work till the thermostat opens, which isnt too big of a deal.
opinions?

Drill and tap the water neck and install the sensor there. That's what most do. It's directly beside the stock sender, so you'll get the most accurate reading and have a clean install.

is there much of a temp difference between the water temp and block temp?/ even that much of a difference between water neck and radiator hose?
also looking at this method, possibly a bit cleaner but not by much. Plus the radiator house has the convienence of just ordering the part and not needing to find a metal saw for me to use unless there is another adapter i should know about. I suppose i could also use my dremel to cut it though http://www.mazdas247.com/forum/showthread.php?122766-My-how-to-Water-Temp-gauge
im just trying to stay away from drilling the block since ive never actually threaded metal before to screw in the aftermarket sender
no one have a radiator hose around to measure?

any other thoughts on why i shouldnt do the radiator? ie if it doesnt show true engine temp?
still deciding between a engine coolant line vs radiator hose but figured they show the same temp regardless?
