Hyundai's Rhondo Replacement (HED-5)?!

:
2008 Mazda5 GT
Looks like this segment is doing ok and the Rhondo is only dead in name, for now. Hyundai has been on such a roll with new products and the Rhondo have been overdue for a makeover so this is not really a surprise. Given Hyundai’s comparative price and warranty advantage, this could be a killer product if they package it right.

All speculation at this point but the key highlights:
-Following Hyundai’s Fluidic Sculpture styling (like the current Sonata)
-Possibly (unlikely) 286-hp, 2.0-liter Theta Turbo GDI. The base NA 2.4L I4 in the current Sonata is awesome in terms of power and MPG (198hp/184tq and 22-24/35 MPG).
-Three-row seating
-NO sliding doors

I would take ANY of Hyundai’s new line of engine options but the non sliding doors are a real bummer :(
Mazda does have a handful with the C-Max and now this coming straight at it.. The Mz5 really has to up its game, just to keep up with competition. Mazdaspeed5 anyone?

Looks a bit smaller, like the Toyota Verso, available in the UK. It would be like putting the MZ3 skin over the a platform somewhere between the MZ3 and MZ5 wheelbase, then squeezing 2 seats in the trunkwell. From what I could tell in images, the Verso only seats legless children in the 3rd row. I wonder how far the new Kia will be from that.

I like it! Hyundai has been coming out lately with some sweet designs...I'm a lil Hyundai lover...I've had 4 of them already
