How to Run new speaker wire through doors of a 2010 mazda 5 sport

@silentnoise

yeah crutchfield said not possible, maybe in a few years something may come up like the Hondas..
What are you referring to that may come up in a few years?? Do you mean an aftermarket HU that integrates into the OEM display!? I haven't heard of any aftermarket options that support this. Would be cool to know. What manufacturer offers this for Hondas? I wouldn't hold my breath anything will make its way to Mazda, which has a peanut sized market share compared to the sea of Hondas/Toyotas on the road.

If you get an aftermarket double DIN unit, the display would become redundant anyway. Most mainstream aftermarket HU vendors offer an adapter to reuse your steering wheel controls too.

If you are hard strong on making use of the blank display screen, have no fear. See link below.
He confirmed it works on the ’09 Mz3 so I’m betting it works on a Mz5. http://www.normalexception.net/index.php/Projects/arduino-rx8-canbus-scanner

Been a while since I last followed-up but it is now available, $275! Now I have to upgrade my stereo just so I can make use of this. Perhaps I can sell my Scangauge2 to cover some cost. Damn it, more toys.

I was going to try and repurpose the dash radio display to show information from an mpguino or something... haven't taken it apart to see what's possible yet though.

I'm hoping that the display is all separate LCD sections that can be removed- it seems like they are anyway. Or maybe can just insert something else- who knows...

It is one piece. You can try to squeeze it behind?.

I like the RxDuino b/c it is fully integrated and uses the steering wheel cruise controls for control. I also appreciate how this thing essentially came out of a guy's basement b/c he wanted to make it happen!
