How to remove cover thingy under wipers to seal wind noise?

Hey, all--

Wondering how to remove the plastic cowl thingy (name?) under the windshield wipers. Has anyone done it to try and seal the bottom part of windshield for reducing wind noise? I did it for my Subie, and it wasn't the easiest thing due to plastic push mount toggles that break off. Any suggestions would be awesome for my 2012 5 Touring.

Just a matter of removing the wiper arms and all the push pin / christmas tree fasteners.
