well my boyfriend just got done installing my system. could not find anything really to fit in the little area in the back till now. bassworx makes a slim ported truck box to fit 2 12's. the model is TP212B. well it was like 3in to long so he cut both ends off each side and then cut a few inches of carpet off to cut a section out of it. then after all that he sanded the caps and ends of the box down and glued and nailed them back on to a complete box again. he also added some caulk for any leaks that it might have. i have 2 12in orion xtr subs with a orion xtr 10001 running off the stock radio right now. he installed the amp down under the middle driver side seat where there is a storage compartment. so the amps out of the way hidden and i have 2 12s in the back that i can remove at any time if i need storage space. hope this helps out any one looking for a solution for any one wanting to fit a loud system in there mazda 5.
