I have 43,500 miles and still have good braking , is this odd or do we have good brakes in our mp3's? These are the stock brakes. I am going to change them by winter even if they dont grind I think?
The stock brakes in my ES had 46K on them when I sold the car. They had plenty of material left on them. Brakes usually last longer in manual transmission cars. Also, the driver makes a big difference too. If you are one of those idiots always brake checking on the highway and windy roads you won't see more than like 20K on a set of pads. Now if you Auto-x and race, the brake pad life will be decreased too.
i have about 36k on mine but i think they're starting to get worn down. i've been to several track sessions though and have given them a workout. time for some porterfields.
i drive hard most of the time so i got about 30,000 out of my first set of brake pads, i just cut the rotors and threw new pads on hey MP3TLH if you are getting that wobble at higher speeds it might be normal, what kind of speeds are you talking about?
10k miles on stock rotors and pads...before the pads got heat soaked (probably a good 800 miles were from the track though...so i got good life out of them)
now i'm running hawk hp+ pads and atx super blue fluid...also looking into powerslot rotors for the fronts
