how do you remove shift knob?

i have a RX8 shift knob(6sp(lol)) i got from a wrecked RX8. i want to put it in my speed how do you remove the shift knob i tryed twisting it off but that did not work and started to **** up the rubber off the sparco one so i stoped.the pleather on the shift knob matches the shift boot. i can get the seat's to but i'd have to get them covered (theirREDandBLACK) but would they fit the msp? if so plese tell me!!!!

well i put the RX8 one on and it made the shifter higher now so i kept the sparco one now what about the seat's???

OK the sparco shift knob is hollowed out in the middle when i took the shift knob off and put the RX8 knob on it is not hollowed out as deep as the sparco so it made the shifter taller and did not look right because the shift boot stay's down.there is a ring i can feel on the shifter but it's fixed to the poll so i put the old sparco one back on.no pic's

OK i'm 6'2 and the stock seat do not support me at all i can get a hold of some RX8 seat's i know i'd have to have them covered but would they fit in the msp like bracket's and slider's?

a damn rx8.
were you at the brandon mall on sunday around 6ish? i saw a
speed drivin away from food court.

as for the knob, go to lowes and find a rubber stopper to make-
up the difference between the knob and the boot (the ring
underneath the boot is welded to the lever)

man i had to change my screen name to reply my old screen name was logged in but it didn't let me reply WTF??,but the car is not in a junk yard it's sitting in a shop somewhere(lol)my frend work's their so he can get s*** for me off of it!!it look's like it fell off a trailer the front end is smashed flat "the front window's not even broken",and no i wasn't in brandon by the mall but if you want to meet up some time let me know i'd love to see your car.

The whole front end is smashed FLAT I wish it still had the HID'S Id get them for you. but like i said it's at a shop where my frend work's it's not mine to part out.but he can get me some part's off of it. but i still need to know if the seat's fit?
