HKS SSQ Blow off valve works prefectly!!!!!

JMS It cost about 350 I think It's been a while since I bought it. The funny part is that It confused my RX-7, so I just lived w/o spending the money for an AFC. I basically made it work on the protege, and to my delight the PCM in the protege isn't that touchy. It's called SMO tuning

what i spent on the BOV you made up for on the $$$$ boost gauge, keep waiting for that stuff to be installed. Keep an eye out to see what that stuff does when it is actually on the car.

Ok, so if I have a Greddy Type S... I will need a new pipe to run from the IC to the turbo that will have the Greddy flange on it?

I just picked up a TurboXS H25 By-pass valve. This is shim adjustable and should solve any problems with boost leaking out at idle or under acceleration. It will be installed next week.

I'm not a fan of removing a feature that was designed into the car in the first place, and have seen numerous problems with Vented BOV's in the past, so hopefully this will work better and produce a clean sound as well.

the protege has no problems w/a open vent BOV and it sounds bad ass. I have had it on for 2 days now. it turns heads like crazy!!!!

You might want to rephrase that to "My protege has no problems with an HKS Super Sequential Blowoff valve." As we've seen many problems with other vented ones.

i think we would need an independent air fuel controler to completely solve the problems with atmospheric blowoffs. just my 2 cents

Im curious I have the GReddy S on my car and it soudns the same as stock except louder. When I turn up the boost will that give me that authentic "S" BOV sound? I hope so. Thanks
