Help with a problem

I just bought a 1993 protege and am have troubles. When i got the car they told me that there was a leak in the radeater.
I fixed the leak no when i turn the car over it runs tell it gets to normal operating temp it dies and will not start tell it is
completlay cooled down and then it will run again. Can some one tell me what they think is wrong. It also has some Idaho speed center
after market parts on it.

could be your water coolant temperature sensor, just a thought
