Hey everybody I need help!

Im dropping in a new motor, and I'm lost on one remaining plug, one vacuum hose, and a ground wire.

Where do these go??

Can anybody go to their car and tell me? I know the one ground is coming from the (-) battery terminal.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I'll take more pics if you need clarification

by the way, i know the ground is "just a ground" and could go anywhere on the chassis, but I'd like to know specifically where it goes. Thanks!

the ground goes to a gold bracket on the trans that holds the wire loom

and the green wired connector goes to one with red and black i believe

looks like the speed sensor plug. thats on the back of the trans where the axles go in
and there souuld be an open port on the lower part of the intake for that hose

Okay! All good.

Car starts up real well, finally installed JDM cams from old friend Citizen Pro and a Mazdaspeed JDM Lightweight Flywheel. Car seems to run a bit rich, and the stock catalytic converter is running red hot. Exhaust is SUPER LOUD now maybe there is a hole........Hmm. Gotta figure out the small things here. I also think I need to get the car to a tuning shop soon to remap out the computer.

Isn't that a manifold pressure sensor and the vac line goes to the intake? Cat is red hot? Shut er down quick or it'll melt and you'll have another expensive part to swap.

EDIT....

Here's a diagram, hose goes to the VICS shutter valve actuator, lower passenger side of the intake.

Thanks man for the diagram!

yeah I got the hose in the right spot now.

I can hear the difference of the idle with the new cams.

Trying to figure out the catalytic converter problem and the loud exhaust problem. It's raining right now, hopefully I'll have some daylight when I get home from work.

Just had a thought, if the cat is hot and the exhaust is leaking its probably the exhaust manifold gasket. An air leak there will add oxygen to the exhaust and start burning hotter in the cat. Definitely need to get that fixed before you run it long.

i'm lucky that i walk to work. the car's been in the garage for a couple of months now! thanks man, I'll check that as well tomorrow.

all good!!!!

I'm back. Car is up and running! Looks like a plug was a bit loose on top of the valve cover which caused the car to run on 2 cylinders. Such a small thing and shows why the catalytic converter was hot and the car running rich. Feels good to be back! And the car pulls oh so nicely with the JDM intake cam and MSM original ex cam, plus the JDM flywheel!

AHHHHH!!!
