looking for some advice... i installed my k&n today but at idle my rpms will shoot down and up almost like its about to stall. it only does this when the fan is on and blowing on it. i also didnt install the air sensor into to the k&n could that be it too?

 Ya think? I'm sortry but that's kind of a dumb question. If you unhook something and your car doesn't run right then the problem should be easy to figure out.

Not to flame or anything but come on....

Actually the K&N hurts performance on the car without a heat shield and it WILL cause RPM dropage even with the MAP (MAF?) sensor in there. Put the stock airbox back on, wait for a good CAI like K&N's Typhoon and then enjoy it.

While the sound increases, the performance takes a rather large hit. I'd remove it immediately and take (or send) it back for a refund.

yeah I had the cone filter on for a few months and i liked the sound, but I put the stock airbox back on a couple weeks ago, and it seems to run much better
