bought my car used about 1 year ago. i had a few threads about repairs and general BS that i had to end up throwing money at. i used the car for daily driving, which is not harsh stop and go. also, there is no snow, and i enjoy going a little fast on corners sometimes (automatic w/sportshift...not a "race" guy at all, but i like some fun). the current tires are the Dunlop Direzzas and they have been great, although I have not experienced them in wet weather. They grip well and are quiet.

looking for feedback on the following (pricing from the shop im using, total price for labor, etc.)

Falken 912 $390
Dunlop Direzza $450
Kumho Ecsta KU21 $400
Hankook Optimo $400
Kumho Solus $380...wary of these based on reviews

I will be installing new brake pads and rotors. Its my first time, but i hear it easy enough.

Currently debating on the ProParts :

$105

or Power Stop

$126

also, if there are any or amazing links, i appreciate any help. im reading through as many threads as possible.

What I would do is, get some new drilled and slotted rotors ( i think i got r1 concepts for like 100), and some g2 paint and while your down there paint your calipers put on the new rotors and pads. I'd also say get the kumho, i think there one of the best i've had especially against hydroplaning since our cars are so light. Only down side is i've heard they were down a little faster than the others, but they still have a 40,000 mile warranty. Make sure the kumho have four parallel lines on it, there are some with just two and i would advise against those. I think i got ecsta 4x ku22. IDk i did it in that order after my drop and love the stance and the slotted rotors with red calipers, but depends on color of p5 (mines silver)...

I've been using the Kuhmo Ecsta ASX, KU21, tires for years. They are nice.

Rotors? Whatever that fits your budget. Centrix are okay. Power Stop slotted are nice. I tried Ate slotted but they seem to be positioned deeper inward compared to the OEM rotors. I don't know why.
