HD Lip side sill extensions...

Well I was bored today and had some leftover HD lip and decided to tape them to the side sills to see what they would look like. I've only done one side to see what the result would be and the jury is still out for me but I thought I would post some pics for people to see the result as well.

i think it turned out better than i thought it would. I would do the other side too. but what about the back thought about doing that?

Yeah it's growing on me. I used tape to fasten it so there are no pull points like using screws. I have enough for the entire car so maybe later do the back as well.

Well, I welcome all opinions good or bad. I realize that it may not be for everyone but it's a cheap alternative to spending hundreds on lips and kits for the car only to have them beat up by my unsuspecting wife.

How is this going... did you do the back and if so, how does it look?

Dodge did this to the Daytona Turbo Z back in 84-85. The shame of it is...that was a manufacturer not modder. I don't think it looks silly, but only on black tho.

I'll proably get a chance to do it tomorrow and will post pics as well, The side near the back wheel started to come apart after a heavy rain and drive thru the rain but after further investigation there is a drain hole just forward of the back of the side sills so I punched some drain holes thru the lips as well so will update how effective later. I have a heat gun that I will use as well to get the tape nice and sticky.

Also thinking about pulling the door mouldings as well so might do it all at once.
