GRRR!!! changed wheel bearing, cv axle, and break pads! grinding again! please help

:
Mazda Protege ES 2.0l
ok so i recently bought a 2001 protege es for my fiance, when i got it i was told the wheel bearing was bad, it had a grinding sound when we drove it, especially when we slowed down and went to turn. i took it to my mechanic and i bought a brand new bearing and a brand new cv axle, had the new bearing installed as well as the cv axle. a few weeks have past and i took my kids to the childrens museum only to notice when we got back home the grinding sound was back! i thought it was the break pads so i bought new break pads and changed them. went out driving, didnt hear it, thought whoo that was it.. parked, went inside for a couple hours, then later went to the store and voila the grinding was back again! does anyone have any suggestions, after spending $300+ on just this problem already i really dont want to put any more money into it, is it even possible for a brand new bearing to go out in 4 weeks already? or is there something i am missing on the break caliper, i greased the back of the pads and pressed the piston back in before putting on the new pads. what could be causing this grinding?

Would like to know also

i seem to have the same problems only sometimes though every few days but this past week its been everyday. Only happens when im about to come to a complete stop and im light on the brakes. I also changed my brake rotors and pads in June and the sound went away for about a month and came back :/

I got my wheel bearings checked several times so that ain't it, axles are solid.

What kind of wheel bearing did they used? I cheapes out the first time only for them to last a few weeks. The time after that I got some of the higher end bearings and haven't had a problem since.

where's the grinding coming from? Did you change the rear pads? It didn't make a grinding noise, but one of the rear calipers on my car started to stick and it made a sort of humming noise all the time.
The rear calipers on our car can't be pressed in- the fronts can be, but the rears will be damaged if you try to use a c-clamp to press them in.

I've got a full mazda6 brake set up (well... the pads calipers and rotors) on my car- my super cheap pads squeak when i'm about to stop, and i'm half way on the brakes, similar to the condition you're describing stivine.... only squeaking, not grinding.
I've attributed that to the cheapest pads i could find. Car stops good though, so i can't complain. (guys in the lane next to me might though...)
Now my dad put on one of the rear pads with the metal backing plate facing the rotor.... that made some grinding noises. Now i've got a rusty brake pad that i see when i walk past my car. It's silly.

I don't know a thing about wheel bearings (is it a journal bearing!!! :D no...) but if the problem comes and goes with changes to braking components, i'd look into that more.

no its definitely coming from the front and its a grinding especially when i turn,i jacked the car up and there is a little play in the wheel and i hear a clunking sound when i shake it. im gonna try to pull off the dust shield and tighten down the nut some more, maybe it got loosened or wasnt tightened down enough. either way im making the mechanic that did it originally fix it right if there is damage done to it. im not paying for something i already paid to fix once. would have changed it myself but damn things needed pressed in
