Good News About Hesitation!

alright finally... a fix!!! do you think mazdaspeed dealers will contact every msp owners to let them know about the flash or do I have to personally call them and ask them if they have it already??

A word of warning...

Personally, I would like Mazda to provide dyno graphs with AF readings of a stock MSP before and after the flash before I have my ECU flashed. I think JoeP made the point, once you flash, you CAN NOT go back.

Mazda is working on a "fix" for our problem. It looks like they are going to provide a "fix." Right now, no one knows what the new ECU code does. Let's wait and see what happens. Mazda must be a MSP for a beta tester. I would like to see them strap it to the dyno and show us how it performs.

I would be inclinded to guess that we might see peak torque and HP drop a little.

New MSP flash for ECU

Hey, look on the bright side! Maybe all they'll do is reduce the fuel by a few percent to get the A/F ratio up to a nice 12:1 under boost.

We could get MORE power out of it! :D

It just seems like everyone's so glum about this, I thought I'd just chime in with a nice, happy thought. :D :D :D

Good point MSP Pro. We're all hoping it turns out to be a great fix - no reason it shouldn't be really -- it should be an easy problem to fix after all.

Here is somthing I forgot to mention. My service advisor also mentioned that Mazda USA had received numerous letters complaining about the hesitation. I guess our efforts last month paid off for us.

:) :D :)

i am not flashing anything in the case there actually is a "fix" i dont have any stumbles, idling. stalling, and if there is hesitation, it doesnt even bother me.

cant anyone at least figure out a way to "backup" the current program?
