What do I need to use to get the current gear from the cars computer? I have the 2000 protg LX. I can install hall-effect sensors on the shifter and use a magnet but if there is already a sensor that does it then I would prefer to tap into it directly or read it from the computer. I will be feeding this info to an Arduino to run a small gear pattern display in a custom knob.
