^^yeah exactly...there are more names for that plate between the main block and oil pan than i could list haha...if the MSP plate is in good condition, just swap it over...it avoids having to tap or mess around with non factory oil line locations...
also...the MSP IM is no different than any 'normal' US protege...the MP3 is the only US protge that has a different IM (no VTCS)...and the JDM IM's use a different VICS system layout...but not really relevant...
so as long as your 'new' FS-DE was not from a MP3, and was not some crazy Japanese import engine...the IM is the same...even if it is from an MP3, you got rid of VTCS, which you might as well do anyway if the engine isn't in the car...
