Feels like fuel cut at 12psi?

When I hit 12 psi it bucks horribly . I thought it shouldn't do that because I have a ssafc and the map is the superstock map. I have no idea where to start

No I have wideband , forge bov on the cold side. And no forged rods, just had my engine rebuilt I didn't think 14 would blow it up lol I put it back down all the way unill my front mount comes in. And I think it's possible that the buck might be affiliated with a boost leak that I have

Let me get this correctly...

You have Stock Rods
and...
14 Psi..

LOL,

When you blow up all over the road Sunday or Monday.. you call me and I will help you find all the parts you need to put yourself running again..

Dude, 14 WILL blow up a stock engine... PERIOD!

Honesty, you can go to wahtever you like...

If it was my car, and I had no money to build it up, I would keep it at 7 PSI..

Just so you are in the know... When mazda made the MSP... they made ZERO improvements to the FS Engine.. They just put a Turbo on it and set it to 7 PSI...

People have boosted 10 PSI and will tell you that they had no issues... then they blow up...

Please understand that I am not some random nOOb who has no experience with what I am saying..

I have been building my P5 since 2002, I had a turbo Protege Before the MSP was announced...

^what he said.
i ran 12 PSI daily on stock motor until it blew the turbo at 150K miles.
the rings on the pistons were fried as it will smoke like crazy too but the car still ran.
so, it is a roll of the dice...some people are able to do what you did and just get fuel cut...others not so lucky would've blown the engine on the first try.

why take a chance?

Well as I said I had the motor board out .20 over and the whole engine is rebuild and had brand new pistons and rods, rings etc. But since i basically have a new engine I'll boost at 10 but only 7 for daily driving
My next question is , where can i get bigger injectors and fuel pump and how much?

you can't just simply throw larger injectors on the car.. you will need some sort of engine management.

to the maker of this thread!
look at your post and what you have typed! LOL

ok so you dont have forged rods today at 12:43

not even an hour later the motor magically get the forged rod and pistons?

lol you buddy need to LEARN what you are driving, a ticking time bomb.
even the msp @ 7psi is a chance of blowing up. i did mine.

so how about you find out if it has been forged or not.
get us a list of EVERY mod done to the motor.
then we can better help you, but if i was to guess you dont know what mods the car has and what it dont.
so get to learning the msp, i did before i even touched the motor or thought about upping the boost.

just my .02 cents.

SSAFC is not Engine Management.

I dont want you to think we are Jumping Down Your Throat or just a bunch of Haters..

We are not hating on you so please continue to post up answers to the questions and we will collectively answer your questions or at least give you an idea about what will and will not blow the motor.. and what you need to do to prevent that..

No I never said they were forged they are just new.
I have a cai, corksport from the j pipe back exhaust, a SSAFC with the super stock map, my engine has roughly 2500 miles on it, obx turbo manifold, oil pressure gauge, aem wideband gauge, and a boost guage of course. I did the vtcs delete as well . I cantthink of anything else

and is there a thread of how to install rods and pistons because when taxes come in i want to do forged rods and pistons, i need to know what compression and which ones are good for the price. thanks guys

Why are you kids knocking this guy? If you setup the fuel and boost properly then the motor can take 10 psi on a new motor but your reducing the life expectency. What turbo are you running? What size injectors? These motors have been known to handle over 250 hp on a stock block. The reason why people blow them is because they run higher boost with out proper tuning and they beat the crap out of them. If you blow your motor at 7 psi then something else was the cause of that problem. If you think I'm wrong then do some research on the strength of the rods and calculate what hp range you should shoot for. DONT randomly try to increase the hp of your car.
