FD Rims on P5

I'm a FMIC over stock power now (and a leaking WGA, giving 10psi LOL) with a catless midpipe going on soon... with the added tire width and stickyness, if I have traction issues the weight difference will have proved itself to truly be dramatic.

Ok well I own 2 sets. I've had fd's on my past 3 cars. There are numerous posts/threads on here agreeing with me so take it however you want, I'm not gonna argue this. Look up xelderx's threads. Yours may already be machined out, I dunno. I do know what I've experienced with both sets I have. Hub bore is off, wheel wobbles some, run at least a 3mm spacer front/rear.

To the OP. Get some, try it and do it however works for you.

Thanks Sean,
I am going to run 3mm front and rear. Already got them ordered. As for tire size what should I run?

I agree, 225/45 will work nice. I chose 215/50 bc I like a little more sidewall. Ride comfort ftw!

yeah, for the MSP I'm going with 225/50's.. but since the P5 and non-MSP sedans are clocked for a smaller tire, I'd just drop a little profile height if it were me. shouldn't hurt anything..

Ok Im picking up the FD set tomorrow. Im still not sure what kind of tires are on there now. I also ordered the 3mm spacers.

So The rims came with 225/50/16 is that too big? ....its almost the same overall height as my MS6 rims on 225/40/18....lol I may have to get smaller tires. I was thinking 225/40/16. Or raise the car. lol

These are for SCCA... lol Ill keep the MS6 rims on for everyday use. lol
Thank you. I was like WTF, why? Those rims look so retro & the MS6 ones make it look fresher(but not as fresh as the RX8 ones do, sorry). But 30 lbs less for racing? YES......have fun widdit.

I've been working 12s lately and I font see it ending soon. But once i get off I'm painting them gold then test fitting them. Lol
