Exhaust Fumes???

First off, hope everyone is enjoying their hoilday weekend! I am, no work, no worries! :D

Today, me and my girlfriend were running around town in the Speed. I had the air on, b/c FL is nice and hot! We were probably in the car for about an hour, even less that. We get home and we both smell exhaust fumes. I go and smell my shirt and WOW, it smells like exhaust fumes. My girlfriend's shirt smells the same. Now, I have noticed this before after I am done driving the car with the air on, but the smell was not as bad as today. If I drive the car with no air running, the smell is not there.

What the hell is going on here? Has anyone else experienced this problem/issue? Should I bring it to Mazda or is there something I can do myself? Any feedback/comments anyone has, I would appreciate. Thanks a million!!!

I hope you made her take off her shirt immediatly(boobs). Exhaust fumes can be dangerous.

thats odd, take it to the dealer...possibly you have an exhaust leak causing fumes near the front of the car to come up through the vents or floorboards, or you have no cats and a crazy exhaust setup like me :)

or (more than likely) i have no idea what im talking about.

By the looks of things, not many, any if all, have experienced this problem that I am having. I am calling the dealer first thing tomorrow morning to try and get the Speed in to them. Hopefully they will resolve this problem and it will not take long.

I will keep you all updated on my progress.

So I went to the dealer today to have them fix the problem of apparent exhasut fumes. The car was there all day and got it back tonight. The MazdaSpeed Tech. stated that the oil feed pipe for the turbo was leaking at the fitting. This was probably the smell I was noticing he says. They tightened the pipe fitting and so far I have not noticed the smell like before. Maybe they fixed the problem, that would be cool.
