What is the best exhaust out there for a gorgeous 2003.5 tittanium gray? I'm liking the the one that Magnus Motorsports is selling, but was wondering if that is the best. Nothing but the best for my lucille. Oh ya. I don't wanna sound like an idiot here, but where the hell is my oil filter. To late. Thx fellas

ive heard good things bout magnus as well, and i know ion, among other places are working on systems right now. Getting a 3in custom mandrel bent catback, or turbo back exhaust might also be a good idea if you know someone who does it locally. Crush bending really isnt too bad long as its stainless steel. Mandrel might be better, but for the money saved on crush bent, i think that would be fine. Remember, all the exhaust is is a couple big tubes. Less turns the better of course. :)

Im goin by an exhaust place here soon and asking about pricing for 3 in catback.

on the back side of the engine right below the intake manifold. It is a pain to get to.

Make no mistake guys, a straight pipe exhaust doesn't necessarily make more power then one that's specifically designed for the application. Crush bent pipes are a poor excuse of an exhaust system. If you have some old beater that would do, but would you really want to put something like that on your beloved Protege? :confuse:

yeah just take the stock s*** off and save 50 lbs!
But lose your sense of hearing after long trips... :wtf: I tried taking the piping off from the cat to the axle-back and jesus, did that drone get annoying on the trip I took...

I'd recommend doing this for going to car meets. That is, if you're not too afraid of being criticized for it, as it does sound good and will draw attention/questions. However, put it back on after that. It quickly looses it's novelty effect and it *WILL* become annoying.
