EGT gauge? Necessary, how to tune it?

Ok, I hear from lots of people the tuning devices needed for a turbo car are as follows:

Boost gauge
AF gauge (meter)
EGT gauge
Wideband o2 sensor

Is this list pretty accurate?
How exactly can the EGT gauge along with the AF gauge and wideband o2 allow you to tune? What are the things to look for when you tune with these items?

Also, if i have an autometer af gauge, can i use this to tune, or is it better to use a meter type gauge?

So basically, How do you tune a turbo car, without the lap top jazz?

if you do get a wideband, you can go without the egt or af for less intensive purposes. but that would be cool if you got all that. those items will help you get the right a/f mix. some places dyno tune and ecu flash. this will let you put in the optimum, to-your-specs fuel curve. the people at they dyno place will use those things to monitor your engine and a/f mixture.

basically if the egt's go above 1550-1600, you will melt things in your engine, so you need to counter them by either more fuel, less air, or something else.
