EGR Recirculation CEL

I just used a plate to seal my EGR valve shut. Not CEL's yet. Then again, they are reset everytime I start the car..lol!

Well, on Sunday I finally got around to using Rdshark1's method. It's working so far...

Good to know. I haven't had any issues either [still] (alright) Plus I got new header bolts so it doesn't look as bad in there now (rlaugh)

Yup and they will be available for sale soon.
We have a small batch of block off plates now.

Drill and tap the exhaust manifold on top of the number # running. Get a brass adaptor thats 1/8th pipe to 1/4 flare{brake line}. run a 1/4'' brake line to the egr valve. Use exhaust air tube hose and two clamps and you are done. No more cel for the egr flow.
I tried this Friday night. Still got a CEL. :(

Is it a problem having the EGR pipe open? I was talking to Discreet and he said that he didn't throw a cel or have any issues with the pipe being open.

Damn dude, what is going on? Have you checked your manifold bolts/studs lately? If those are loose, you WILL have an issue like this.

Did you ever get a CEL with it filtered? I still have not had any issues with mine.

I never ended up filtering it, but when I ran it open i got no CEL (but got some weird issues as linked above)
