Edmund's CSX - Game on!

#176 overall. I need to slowly work my way up into the top 50. I cracked the top 100 at one point, but then lost my ass.

well, im done w/ this stupid game....its flawed...

I was there to catch the IPO of the VWTG and when i submitted my order it said it was submitted and nothing...no shares, the offerings just stalled....so inded up w/ nada and the price has already moved up x6

yeppers...now i cant log in...and the game admin is getting bitched out on the forums about this whole thing...apparenlty tons of people had the issue...

oh well, its pointless and im done lol

We all know i was better than you anyways before hand Todd :p

lol

thats ok, they already mailed me the Wii since they knew there was no point in waiting for the end of the month...

I think they said something about a new G8 GT or something...pick it up at my convenience blah blah...we are in awe of your superiority something something... I don't know. Right along those lines.

I will say tho...August will be a high gain month for me tho...thats when all my shorts retire and when stocks retire they will retire at their actual sales numbers so they're all a sure gain for me....

Ok, I didn't know that. So when we get closer to the retirement, everything's going to take a dive towards the actual sales numbers. I need to short everything now, then.

yeppers, it wont be a reflection of the trading done, as thats obviously absurd but will be actual sales numbers for 6 months :D

for example....look at the Lexus IS-F...its trading at 57.85 so that means that people think they're going to sell 57,000 in 6 months...kind of hard to do that production is stated to be limited to 2400 to 3600 ANNUALLY LMAO

i just wanted to double check, and sure enough...its in the "rules"

What happens when a stock is Retired?
When a stock you've invested in is Retired, you will receive CSX$ for every share you own equal to its final price. The final price for a Retired stock is not the last trading price of that stock; instead it is based on total vehicle sales for the applicable vehicle through the end of the month in which the stock is Retired, which is calculated approximately five days after the month ends. For example, if the final price of a share of stock that is being Retired, as so computed, is CSX$85, you will be credited with CSX$85 for each share you own. If you bought the shares when the price was at CSX$30, you will have made a profit of CSX$55 for each share. On the other hand, if you paid CSX$90 per share, you will have lost CSX$5 for each share you purchased.
Of course, if you sold all of that stock prior to its Retire Date, your profit or loss will be based on the price at which you sold, and the subsequent retirement of that stock will not affect you.

Well, if people realize this, though, they're going to start selling like crazy before the stocks retire.

That's the only thing to actually keep this game on track. I was wondering if there was supposed to be anything like that.

well, if they start selling it like crazy, that will drive the price down anyways, which is still win win for me :D
