nice looking fiberglass enclosure and SPL don't belong in the same topic

my suggestion would be to utilize a CRX box. it's a ported box, with the subs facing up, and the ports down at the bottom on the back. they are nicknamed CRX boxes, since most CRX competitors use them, since they work so well in a hatch

your setup looks nice in your cougar, but it looks like those 15's are in a sealed box?

ported is the way to go, and i hope that is how you have the audiobahns setup

those 2 should be easily in the mid to high 150's

hell, if i can do a 147.2 with a single 10 in the stock 1 class of idbl

and my goal is over 150 by spring break nationals next year

anyways, back to the system for your wifes p5. with the CRX style box you have the option to have the subs at an angle and fiberglass it in. if you want to really compete in SPL you'll have to find the freq that is best for that car. it's a long process and is a pain to do without your own meter. but once you find the best combination of port area and length for the volume of the box, then build a nice looking box to those specs. you might also want to consider using port inserts, so you can remove the inserts for comps, which will tune the box higher to achieve higher SPL, and then with the port insert installed, it'll be tuned nice and low, for daily driving and great SQ

what subs and amps are you planning on using?
