hm, i'd like to know if anybody was willing to give his whole cruise control stuff and how much it would cost....

I have a cruise control off a 2003 Protege. I have the control unit from the engine compartment and the steering wheel (I think that's where the control buttons were). Not sure if anything else is needed though. Interested???

they have them installed here on 1.6 liter proteges, so i would say yes and the system is the same.

dealer price is about $879 new, your price with me is $679 plus shipping for the cruise control kit and parts to make it work.

no there are about 12 parts ultimately required for the job.

thx captain, but wow,$679..i must refuse that offer, that thing would be 3 x as expensive as a top aftermarket unit and like 6 x as expensive as an "entry" aftermarket kit.. i love oem, but i don't love oem THAT much. additionally, i'm not so incredibly confident anymore that this would be a plugnplay job, as i hoped it would be...

ken, can you PM me a price for part # BL8M-66-320....i think. w/o sport mode would be stick shift right? or am i wrong? its the cruise control unit for a 2003 dx.

I'm sure one of you could contact xelderx. I know last time I was over there his cruise control was just sitting in his garage. I'm sure he would let it go for a decent price if he still has it.
