Alright, this not only pisses me off but it is just retarded.

Last Thursday night I come home to my APT from Applebee's at about 11:15pm. I come out the next morning at 7:20am and my driver's side front window is busted out, the driver's door is ajar, my hatch is ajar and ALL of my stereo equipment is gone. Not to mention that when the idiot ripped off my center console cover he tore up the AC controls (no longer workable). They folded up my window and put it in the back seat. They got my deck, my CD wallet, my amp, and my sub box.

The funny thing is the CD wallet only had burned copies of actual CD's that I own - $worthless. And the idiot left my $750.00 "made in espana" classical guitar. They even moved it to the back seat so that they could get the subs out. Plus they got my worthless 4 year old deck that has been in the last 4 cars I've owned.

I bought all of the stuff off of Ebay so it only cost me like 1/4 the retail price, I'm only out like $300.00 that I spent for a $1000.00 amp and dual sub setup. And the insurance company says they are going to replace it since it is covered under my comprehensive coverage. I don't skimp on insurance at all.

I got my window fixed the same day, free, and I get the tint for free. I just have to pay the $500.00 deductable between the repairs to the console and the stereo replacement which SUCKS.

The thing that gets me though, is that I installed the system myself at my parents house 5 miles away. I always turn it off before I come into the complex and you can't see anything in the back of the car because of the cover. Plus my wife's MP5 is parked right next to mine.

Anyway, just thought I would share with the community that an MP5 had been hit in the Phoenix area. I'm not sweating it. I didn't have an alarm before so I went down on Saturday and bought one for my car and one for my wife's car. Cost me about $800.00. A small price to pay for security IMHO. I seriously want to sleep in my car now, but I won't. I like sleeping with my wife more than the car.

Peace guys,
Daniel

Oh yea, I got my custom license plate ordered on Tuesday last week. It will say "CRAYZ D" so be on the look out over the next month or so for it in the Phoenix/Scottsdale areas. Peace.

It's funny how you say you bought it off ebay. That stuff was probably stolen to begin with and now it's just rejoining the circle for it to get sold on ebay, then stolen again, then sold on ebay etc.....

Ebay is the best place for them to unload their stolen equipment.

Seems these days your ride is not safe anywhere. I had my old truck broken into. they took the amp and a box. two weeks later my roommates truck is stolen off the driveway. The same night someone 'tagged' the stop sign that is in our front yard...

is showcase taking care of replacements in the interior?

Do what I did. I installed a security light that lights up half the street if you step foot on our driveway... that'll make the thief think twice!

As far as the ebay thing, I made sure that what I bought came in a new box with factory packaging manuals and parts.

I would install the flood light except that I live at an apartment complex and I don't think they would like that. Thanks for the support though azeli73. And yes Showcases Collision Center is taking care of the repairs to the center console. At least the bastards left my seats alone. They knew what they wanted.

As far as the alarm, I bought one on Saturday at the same place I had the one on my former Prelude done. And no it is not Audio Express.

I just hate to have to worry about it you know? Anyway, thanks for the support guys.

Man it sux getting things stolen from you. I know. When i was 17 I had my system stolen out of my 95 corolla. Insurance paid for everything and it ended up I knew the guy that stole it so I got it back so bam, had 4 12s in the corolla. Luckily he didnt break anything to get in my car, I used to keep a key under the front bumper so that is what he used to get in my car. I wasnt friends with the guy I just new him and another friend told me that he was the one that took my stereo so I went to his house and asked his dad to open his trunk, and there it was. I explained to his dad what had happened and told he to take it back. haha.

Also, just a couple months ago I had just purchased a 2003 Corolla S and left the keys in the ignition over night and someone took it right from my driveway. The car only had 2,000 miles on it and 500 was from a trip to atlanta.

You arent safe in your damn neighborhood anymore. What is the world coming to.
