Color of Engine oil?

My procedure is:
1. Drain the old oil and remove oil filter.
2. Put new oil and filter, and ad the flush to new oil.
3. Run the engine according the flush instructions.
4. Drain the oil and remove the filter.
I usually let it drain something like 30mins, so everything has really came out.
5. Put new oil and filter.

But how are you preventing that chemical from mixing with the new oil? You would need another flush to get most of it out.

BTW, did u notice any change in mpg? I used to get closer to 22mpg in the city - now around 20.5. I used the S-1 red bottle in the gas - it will improve right after but will return to 20.5mpg after 2 gal of gas.

Should I expect to get better mpg with this treatment?
People seems to report better compression pressure after the treatment.
It if were a Honda, I would change the Fuel injector at 100k (reconditioned with lifetime warranty went for about $50 on eBay but it was a while back) but on Mazda, people don't do it - parts aren't cheap.

I'm pretty sure that everything is coming out, because the oil is hot and I let it drain so long that it has stopped dripping a long time ago.

Can't say if there has been any change in consumption, it has always been about 8,5L/100km in summer and 9,5L/100km in winter.

But like I said earlier, I haven't had any problem to fix with the flush.
I do it more like preventive maintanence.

There is always residual oil. The only way to get it out is an intermediate flush. Lake Speed Jr (The Motor Oil Geek) talks about this a lot. Just something to keep in mind.

Yeah, that's true, can't get 100% out just by draining, or maybe if you let it drain many days/weeks.
But still the residue what is left inside, is pretty miniscule, ie. comparing to the amount of fuel in old engine oil.
And now I'm talking about my case where I have short trips and we have cold winter and therefore lots of idling to warm the engine.

It's "normal" that the new might get darker pretty fast.
It has many cleaning properties, so it's doing it's job.

I have kinda same situation, I drive about 6-7k (km) per year and also short trips.
When I'll change the engine oil, every 10k km, I'll do it with a flush. Then the new oil keep looking fresh quite a long time.

My flush metod is:
1. Old oil and -filter off.
2. New oil and -filter and with engine flush.
3. Let the engine what flush instructions say.
Usually it's 15-20min and varying idle speed.
4. Drain the flush oil and remove oil filter.
It's usually already really black.
5. New oil and filter install and happy Zoom zoom.

There is a m/c who now works at a part store - he has been good.

I just approached him - perhaps he was disoriented with my question - first commented "misc question". Then took me to the shelf and showed me 2 products.

Told me that its to be done every 3 oil change.

BTW, what is if you put the additive in the used oil that was in the car?
Does the instruction say to use it in a fresh engine oil?
