I bought a couple cans of touch up paint last night. I was thinking of painting my flying M. See any reason why this might be a bad idea or if I should prep it somehow?

I have done it a few times on a few cars.

Make sure you thoroughly sand down the silver completely off of the flying M. The best thing to do is to get to the plastic under it. Once nice and smooth, use some primer. The best kind of primer is the stuff that fully dries under 15 minutes. Spray it a bit. Let it dry. If there are any imperfections, sand the primer and then primer it again. When that all works, I would use RUSTOLEUM paint. This is the only paint I have had good experience with. Get the kind that dries in 15 minutes to an hour. Spray a light spray. Wait a bit, do it again, wait a bit, do it again, wait a bit then get some nice clearcoat. I would clearcoat the rustoleum color you choose ONLY after like 4 hours. Do the clearcoat twice and let it sit overnight.

It works fine for me.

Azeli, are those pics in your gallery taken before you installed the Eibach springs?
