Ive installed them but not on the 5 or any of my cars for that matter, just some customers. What do you need to know?

I was wondering if they would be equal to having stiffer springs or bigger sway bars? How would it affect the ride?

It would be more equal to stiffer springs. Most use them for load leveling. So when adding say 500 pounds of bricks to the trunk you would air them up to maintain the stock or a higher spring rate.
