i dont think the ap will work right with an ets tmic. just like they dont have a map for an aftermarket bpv/bov. i think your only suppose to use the stock intercooler or the cobb front mount. but i could be wrong.
lol!! i 2nd that...i was in the same boat as you, deciding if i wanted the SU TMIC or cobb AP. i pulled the trigger on the TMIC its so worth it! now im saving money up for the AP to get a tune.
Both will probably give you comparable gains in the 15ish whp range. The AP might give you more. Just personal preference but I find opening your engine up / increasing efficiency a little is best before getting tuned. Just seems to make sense. The stock IC sucks and I couldn't imagine pushing the engine even harder on that thing. Not to mention the TMIC is problem free and super eary to install / remove.
Don't you spike when you get an upgraded ic and don't have a tune?
If so, go with the ap, that way you see gains right away and make sure your car is running properly and then once you get the ic you will then been able to have a tune for you car since you already have the AP. I say AP first
That's what I'm doing. My next mods are tires first b/c I want to get power to the ground. Then AP, dp, and FMIC follows.
AP is first so I can tune my other mods as I get them. That's what makes sense to me
