Trailblazer SS AWD ....Still a Mazda Junkie Though.
Another one bites the dust!

On my way to school today the LSD took a s***.I was taking off normal from a light and started to goose it a little and boom!
It felt as if it popped out of gear...then the grinding.I limped it to the schools parking garage and called Mazda roadside.

I pretty much think I have had enough of this car.
Its time for Mazda to own up to all of the trouble related to the MSP.
I for one have had a hell of a lot go wrong with mine.
I need to check into some lemon laws for Ohio....This might be fun this time!(boom07)

Sorry to hear that... After putting the new intake manifold in, it became painfully apparent how little thought was put into the MSP. I love my car, but geez... Running crucial oil and coolant lines for the turbo right next to the burning hot EGR pipe?!?! My oil line had melted through to the steel braids and the friction/heat was even starting to take it's toll on the braids. I bandaid-ed it by wrapping some silicone hose around it, c'mon... that's just common sense.

I dunno...Sometimes I love this car and sometimes I just wonder what Mazda was thinking.
At least this was not a shock...It was more like a ticking time bomb...I was just waiting for it to go off.
I am working on a few things right now though since it is down and will be coming apart anyway.

if your brother hadn't wrecked it, you might actually be able to say something to mazda about them buying it back. but now mazda can point at the car accident for causing your problems.

Nope...Too bad this is a widely known problem. I dont see them giving me any trouble...This car is WELL taken care of and always has been.
Its Mazda's fault and we all know it.

I am still going after Mazda on this one.The wreck was all cosmetic...lats of fairly light body damage...No major damage at all. They cant fight everything that has gone wrong with this car...Its had a motor, multiple bushing, creeks, squeeks, pops, radios, shift knobs, bad o2 sensor, engine cradle loose twice, and nopw a bad tranny.

I think Mazda needs to own this one again.

Its not just the LSD...Its the combination of problems I have had..from motor replacement to tranny now...They number Very high. I bet Mazda has had my ...car for at least 90 days worth of service since i bought it.

hell my lsd just went out saturday night and i am wondering how hard it is going to be to get mine replaced.
Shouldn't be any problem at all....Its a known problem.

Known to people that read these boards and known to people that contact Tech line. If they have never seen the problem, I suggest telling them to contact Tech line.

I know exactly what you mean. It has been the ongoing joke at Transonic Racing about the engineering that went into this car and how many things were just plain ****** up and stupidly built/designed/implemented.

I won't have any problems. My dealer pretty much listens to what I tell them since I usually know whats wrong before the car even hits their bay. And to top that off ,the know I wont take any s***.

There is a thread with a running list of peeps with LSD failures. Might want to make sure you're on there if it's happened. Unfortunately I'm on there too.

we should make a LSD boom VS Motor boom thread and see who wins
Too bad I'll be on both lists....1st on the motor list and last on the LSD list(for now)

Imma see if I can get the pics of the busted LSD and the new one..They got the new one in this morning.I might hit them up on lunch tomorrow.
