cheap temp intake

So i'm debating the concept og taking out the intake filter box, forward of the MAF, and just attaching a k&n cone filter in it's place as a makeshift short ram until I get an actual one. Anyone done that before, or see any issues with it? In theory it would do the same thing as a short ram...

Im currently running that set up now, I've noticed it heat soaks a lot faster than it normally would, the only is thing is you hear the "turkey" a lot more which is entertaining

Not that I really noticed you can feel a slightly better acceleration but then again may be my butt dyno lying to me.

Don't do that, you'll get absolutely nothing out of it and it will look beyond tacky.

Well i've also realized the temperature sensor is inside the box too. I dont trust myself to relocate that lol.

I'm na but when my tube ripped I had to Jerry rig a tube from a vibe and attatched a cone filter to it. Idk what gains it made because mine was ripped but it made a difference
