i have ssafc, aem wideband, and an adapter on my 2nd o2 sensor due to me not having a cat. the car idles around 14.5 average. WOT is at 10. and just driving is at about 13 afr's

All depends on what's causing it, could be your WGA, MAF, unmetered air leak, exhaust leak before primary O2 sensor, faulty PCV...... many things could cause it so its time for you to do some diagnostics

damn, well my thinking is that if its telling me its too lean then that would mean that not enough fuel is matching up with the air coming in right? and i just replaced my wga

My car has thrown the P0171 since it was stock over a year ago and I would like to permanently turn it off. I also have an SSAFC and cat less mid pipe with a non-fouler on the O2, and a FMIC. The car runs fine, the vtcs is removed, I have cleaned the MAF, IAC, EGR, the O2 sensors aren't very old, the WGA is a forge and it works fine. I have reset the computer and cleared the code and it always pops on by itself with no other codes. I don't have any vacuum leaks and the car runs amazing.

With 90,300 miles so far I've never had that code. Only an occasional and self eliminating CEL for the second cat being below warmup threshold. Don't care about that as it has no impact on performance and I have not cats.

Maybe its a Split Second issue? Something about it triggers the code yet the PCM self checks and finds all is ok and you suffer no performance loss in the process.

Yeah I will download a new map and reset my ssafc and see what happens , but ever since I got a crack in my manifold welded my age gauge says the car is running super super rich and at wot it goes right to 10

My car threw the code for about a year off and on before I even got the SSAFC, my AFRs are great in boost too. They aren't extremely stable but they stay between 11-12.2. I need a true boost gauge but my Greddy EBC has a very accurate digital boost/vacuum display.

I never replaced my o2 sensors and the other day when I replaced my wga I dropped my first o2 sensor. I never had a lean code until everything was back together

if you are facing your engine bay, look at the left side of your exhaust manifold and see if the bolts on the far left are still there, if not, there is one exhaust leak. These cars are notorious for loosing those two bolts.

That can cause a leak, I had some hardware missing on the mani but have had ARP studs in the exhaust mani for over a year and new gaskets on the EM and IM and no leaks, still get the P0171. I'm thinking it's a failing MAF, EGR, or IAC although typically electrical parts don't slowly die out they completely die.

Im dead set on it being my first o2 cuz I remember it falling on to concrete and it was never replaced either and a low voltage o2 cel came on too

well if it helps I have this right now too. I went to look at it and figured out it was just the gasket between the turbo and exhaust manifold was blown. The car was not nearly as powerful and it sounded weird. The spool of the turbo was somewhat overshadowed by the exhaust-like tone coming from under the hood.

I have this code too and a p0300. The p0171 has come off and on for about the last year and we are pushing 140,000 miles. Any ideas? Related at all or probably separate issues?

I replaced my primary 02 and seafoamed and my car is starting to run better 2 days after and no engine light it went off on its own
