Car Insurance

I paid around $600 for my P5 over 2 years ago. Sure it would be $550'ish now!

Full coverage with 1K ded on collision and 500K comp.

I pay $518 on my new 08 Jetta with same coverage........

Sorry to hear Mark. Didn't realize you were fighting that one for so long.

As for insurance, was paying 3200 for 2 cars and 4 drivers in MA. Paying 1800 for the same coverage in NH, go figure.

i pay $1200 for my old explorer and old p5...combined mileage of 300k and combined age of 19 yrs, go figure!

ugh... Sorry to hear about that prolonged fight Mark.

If it is any consolation I had someone dive into my lane in front of me last night and they kicked up a piece of something (I never saw what it was) into my driver's side passenger door.. I have a nice HUGE dent and a 2-3 inch gouge in the paint from it.

I can't win. Over 3200 miles of driving from CT to FL and back and I get that on the last 150 miles of the entire trip.

i'm with you chris! but you know, that's what happens when you drive a car on the road...so i guess we've got to live with it!

probably....less population density means fewer idiots causing insurance claims....not to mention less theft. And he is driving a '99 protege which doesnt hurt :)

^^

Looks better! $1200 seemed high unless you had maybe an accident or two.

Do you have a clean record?

wow, i only pay $680 A YEAR... move to the midwest ;-P

I lived in Michigan for a year... didn't change much when I moved to CT. Weird. BUT, if you have an accident in Michigan, the state pays for all of your medical bills, even if it's a lifetimes worth!

WHAT? (shocked)

i didnt hear that about the medical bills but my friend lives there and says there is a no fault law....which means if you rearend someone who rearends someone who rearends someone, everyone is held accountable for following too close......but it also means if you are sitting at an intersection and a car plows into you through no fault of your own your insurance is still going to go up (as I understand it)

When I was living in Quebec, they had no fault. All I can say is it cost more than old the old system.

2 accidents one a cupple weeks ago where a guy ripped off my front bumper when i was stopped at a light. he was making a left. his car spun out on ice after clipping mine and hit another one. this was all my fault of course even though my car was completly stopped

so my initial quote was 4300, but I sold the msp so now its 3000. The insurance agent said she found a better rate and saved me some money with another carrier....2700. Thats not including homeowners insurance.

Again I will repeat...i paid 1497 last year for 2 cars and homeowners.
