Burning H7 headlight bulbs???

liteswap, you would probable know the answer to this the best. I know what your saying abt the Xenon bulbs being higer wattage and burning the stock headlamp housing. Are HID's the same way? Will they burn the headlight housing?

Zero, unfortunately we have never tested those. I do not know about the life of these, but they should be decent.
Im not sure which ones the above site sells.. but DI has 2 Superwhite applications. a 55W (std wattage) and a 80W. I would stay away from the 80W one. I would assume that the superwhite is comperable in color to say a Silvania Silverstar (which does not have H7 yet). They also have a "Xenon Blue" in 55W which is about $4 more for the set.

Not getting all anal and huffy... just stating the facts. You won't believe the number of emails I get daily that read something like...
Why are your HID kits $400+ when I can buy the HID bulbs for $40? It does get irritating after a while, trust me

Instead of buying $40 HID bulbs 10 times due to burnt out or other reasons, spend $400 once to prevents from any future damages like HID bulbs do, increase light outputs on the road and looks much cooler.
I will get HID kits as soon as I fix my car, but right now replacing bulbs are ok with me.
Buying bulbs are risky and you don't know how long they will last, i think this all depends on your driving style, sure PIAA is great one to use, and have warranty but they warranty bulbs itself not the headlight sockets or wiring harnesses.
basically what I'm trying to say is that spending money on HID Kits are worth it.

I had those same bulbs that MP5Raycer has....look at the pic below.....this was after about 10-15 hours of use.....be careful with crap bulbs...

I have used 100watt APC one's.
from my experience, I strongly recommend not to use wattage higher than 55w.
it will give very bad damages to our headlights and won't last long and later you might have to replace new headlight assembly

overall HID kit is the best solution or stick to the factory ones.
