Finally got my car back tonight- it went back in to Tweeter to have the odd noise in the sub fixed. Apparrently the hole had to be dremeled a bit larger because the outter, outter edge of the woofer was nipping the wood while excurting- making a buzzing noise at low volumes.
Anyway when I had it back in I had them fix the nicks at the bottom of the box and asked (beings they were repainting it) to have the inside of the box sprayed with silver figuring it'd reflect the blue neons better than the current blue paint. Anyway to make a long story short, they had problems making the silver paint look good (figuring they just painted OVER the blue) they "frosted" the plexi "JL" logo on the box (lightly sanded making it like a white etched look) and added another 15" neon free of charge. Now...it's looks better than ever. It REALLY illuminates at night. Gotta take NEW pics!

I thought I remembered you mentioning that your box was part fiberglass...if so, which part? Is the rear section molded to the contours of the car? Also, How deep is that box? It seems quite wide, so I am figuring it could be quite shallow and still have enough volume...If you get a chance, could you just take a bunch of pictures of the whole setup, and how everything is put together? I am just starting a long, drawn out process of making my own box, and I want to see how other people have done theirs to maybe get an idea or two..

Thanks for you help, and you have one amazing looking system there man!

Part of the box is PLEXI-glass, maye thats what your thinking. The only fiber-glass is on the inside around the plexi to seal it. The box has two plexi-glass window with a vinyl wrapped trim peice that has the J and L cut out of it.
Don't worry I'll be sure to take more pics from different angles.

Sounds great man. At first I thought I heard some sort of audible flapping noise at certian frequencies. I went back to investigate and I found it was the rear hatch cover. The area next to the seats thats has a fold to bend when you open the hatch, was flapping up and down from the bass...lol. Now I'm gonna have to pull the panels off the back of the hatch and dynamat the sucker. I'll try and be sure not to over-do it....I don't want it so heavy I have to HOLD the hatch to keep it open!
