You really need hard pipes to do it right. I don't think the plastic cold pipe is sturdy enough or the right diameter to support cutting out a chunk of it and moving the MAF. You would need at least two reducers and a fairly long coupler to put in place of the maf in its stock location. You need the maf to see as little turbulence as possible, so you would cut out the straightest portion of the cold pipe.

I am going to a MAP based tune with a megasquirt, and venting to atmosphere with an HKS along with the stock BPV recirculated unless the noise is too obnoxious in which case, I will buy some sort of Y adapter to recirculate both. However, I don't think the diameter of the return on my injen intake is large enough to completely eliminate back pressure on the compressor if I recirc both, so I may have to have a larger return welded into it, or just live with either the turkey or some BOV noise. I've asked around for opinions, but I really won't know until I try.
