I ordered from http://8vturbo.com/ Just click on Products, and you will find all kinds of hump hoses (supposedly the best to eliminate vibration, and not break anything when the engine starts or shakes.) I also bought T-bolt clamps and some 1" clamps for the recirculation hoses and whatnot. I spent about half what www.turbohoses.com wants for their products. They look nice and everything, but they seem expensive. I am broke though, if you can afford them, they look cool.
thankx nictlg7 they have a good price on hump hoses...i should have those pipes back and on by this time next week. by the looks of it i will be includeing a hump hose for the top pipe. the bottom wont need one due to the 2 elbows will give it enough movement. also, i think i will be selling the bracket for that valve thing by the throttle body seperatly for those guys who have kits that dont have 1. so, ill keep ya posted..
ok well i got the pipes today..i dont have my hump hoses yet to put these on a car to show everyone..but they should be here anyday now..untill then here is a pic of the pipes..
ok here are the pics. they are not that great the guy who took them is a butthole..so i'll try to get better ones in the next day or 2. but as of now they are for sale. i will start a thread in the for sale section with the details..
I have been following this thread for a while with lots of interest. I may still jump on the wagon and purchase a set for myself. However, I am going to go out on a limb an try something different first. I am having custom hardpipes made for my yellow MSP out of carbon fiber. The plan is to have 2" plumbing with glass smooth inside and outside finish. We played around with different colour ideas (black, yellow, weave, etc.) and we are going to try a black and yellow weave pattern. Not sure how it will turn out, but we are going to give it a shot and see what we come up with. The only unknown right now is whether the CF will be able to tolerate the temp coming out of the hot end of the turbo. We are probably also going to try a custom CF CAI as well. I'll post pics when all is said and done. Not sure what type of gains we'll get (comparable to pre-fab CAI?) but I'll try to get it on the dyno after the plumbing and my new 3" exhaust go on.
