Another Company for Turbos

OK I was out partying this weekend and a friend of a friend came up to visit and he works at Mazda Subaru of Marin in the Bay area. To make a long story short I was talking to him and he told me he sold an employee of Vishnu Tuning an Eclipse. They got on the topic of Protege's and he told my friend that his company is working on a turbo for the protege. I wrote a little email asking them if this was true and here was his response.

We are still working on this project, however we do not have anything ready for production at this time. Please check back with us in a month or so. Thanks.

This is good. If you people don't know this company does a ton of work for Subarus and are very well established. It's good to see companies like this jumping in to get a share of the market. So here is everyones task: Email them and and show them how interested we are.

racingmazda.com makes a turbo kti for the MX-6/probe with the FS motor fully intercooler external TiAL wastegate, log manifold, T3/T4oE turbo, all the piping everything for a sale price right now of 2900 I know the manifold and thurbo and whatnot will work and the piping could be modified to work pretty easily it looks like. Maybe someone shoudl look into this as well.

I don't like how that kit looks. Look at the intercooler's endtanks. They look like crap. And aren't T3/T4's only good at making top end power?

Actually it comes with a weld el manifold, not log style. However I'm only going by what Ric shows on his site and the pics by the 2 guys on Probetalk with the kits. My kit has still not been shipped.

The endtanks are custom made they hold boost and while they may not be the prettiest in the world the core is effiecient and that is what matters. T3/T4s ar emainly top end turbos but i'm not sure about a t3/t4 on a 2.0L FS motor.

yes it is made with weld el's but it is designed as a log type one single runner that all other ports go into.

If memory serves me right, Brett is THXBrett on the boards. He used to work for M2, who were supposedly working a pretty cool kit. Then for some reason Brett didn't work there and is now working for Vishnu...

I believe he took the project with him. And Brett is a pretty cool guy.

I soke to someone a fellow enthusiast/friend that works a Vishnu a while back about how Brett left M2. Apparently, M2 was screwing up on some serious s*** dealing with Subaru's. They were giving some bogus turn around times to customers and not delivering when they were supposed to. I honeslty can't speak to much about it because I can't remember the most of what he told me, but he is now working with Shiv @ Vishnu and he is happier there.
