So I live in Denver CO and after calling the last 4 out of 10 shops that are rated well for performance mechanics I had to stop and write this post for some help. I think I have read every possible thread so far on what to do with this 2nd gen protege as far as performance (I.e. turbo, swap, etc) and I really have not came up with a definitive answer as of yet. So this might sound quite dumb I'm aware but I love this car and would like to build it up a bit. Yes why not throw my money into something else? Well how many do you see cruising around? So the whole moral of this post is these shops pretty much didn't give me the time of day once I said I wanted advice on either having them install and tune my big ol Z5 lol engine with a custom or even bolt-on turbo & of coarse support mods OR would they recommend me just swapping my Z5 out for the BP-T? I mean yes this sounds absurd because of the cars age and model generation (weakest engine possible depends on who you ask on this site) ok guys so please tell me if I'm either saying something wrong or am I going to continue to get the same answers "buy this car, buy that car" my question is referring to exactly what I'm asking, I don't want another car I want to either swap whatever engine that's not too extensive or turbo the Z5, you should get my point now. So if it is a waste of time and is totally impossible then don't be immature and give me a sarcastic a**hole answer please, cause like I said I do understand this car is not a performance set-up vehicle. Thank you do much in advance guys, I really appreciate the honest help!
