Am I total bum or WHAT?

i dont see why you guys are hating on this kid so much?

just dont let other people drive your nice new msp again.

I am not passing judgment on this kid. Hell, he's only 17 and barely begun his life. There is no way of knowing what he'll be like 10 or 20 years from now. The best time of your life is (thumb) NOW (drinks)Don't forget, you're always the smartest you've ever been.

But don't forget this thread started as: I'm so bored. All I have to do is sit around and figure out how to spend the folks money, so you have to understand why everyone jumped on him.

My advice from an ancient one on these forums (41) is: use it while you can. Don't just waste all this free time you have. Chances are soon enough you'll have a much busier schedule and be thinking of all the things you could have done when you had all that free time.

And last parting words from the Butthole Sufers :
It's better to regret what you have done then to regret what you haven't done.

Chill out! Why do some always have to bust out the hate post...common guys...we are all here to share info...experiences and enjoy the site...not judge each other.

You made some good points big_ben ;)

Don't blame his parents for making him a slacker. His parents and my parents are probably alike in the sense that they financially give us whatever we want and are not pushing us to excel in school. I'm a junior in high school with a brand new car I don't pay a cent for. But that doesn't make me a slacker like him.

I CHOOSE, by my own provocation, TO WORK HARD. I CHOOSE to take 9 AP classes, to stay up past midnight doing homework every night, and to take 4 hours of prepclasses saturday and sunday.
HE CHOOSES to take 6 hours of school per week and make "high school a waste" for himself.
I choose to do that for myself because in a year and a half he will be going to some crap school and I wouln't.

It's his own fault for making himself a slacker, not his "spoiling" parents.

It's his PARENTS who have the problems.

It's is the job of a parent to instill proper values and ethics in their children. All this kid is learning is how to **** around, and have mommy and daddy pay for everything.

It's not jealousy - it's a crying shame.

And what could "good thing" could he possibly do to deserve not only a car, but a complete free ride. Where's the insurance money? Gas? All the "upgrades"? What about the fact he says he thinks about what to do next to his car(S)?? Hmmm... must be one helluva kid to deserve more than ONE car!

But I'm sure you'll do the same for your kids.....they'll be just as unmotivated as he is.

You must not be a parent. BlackMSP is 17 and from reading his post to your reply I'd say as a parent he deserves to enjoy the last few years of his youth before he goes off to college. Not to mention he's already on a killer school schedule that sound to me as if he's pretty much done all that has been asked of him and more. If he was my kid I would give him a "free ride" any day as long as he kept up his good grades. to me it sounds like his parents did a fine job and should be proud. Hell, let him enjoy himself.

Thanks big_ben, and yes I have done somthing good. For last few years I have been in public schools in the LA area. I have maintained above a 4.0 GPA and lots of activities out side of school, including my own import/export business dealing with silver and gold jewelry. This is why I feel like such a bum now, becuase I dont do anything, but I guess I deserved it. Im just killing time untill college, becuase IMHO HIGH SCHOOL is a total waste of time (for me).

It seems to me as if you've done more than the average 17 year old already. No wonder you're bored. Awesome GPA and already have your own business? After that I'd be bored too. Especially if your just killing time until UNLV. Damn I hope my kids show that kind of ambition and dedication at that age. I think you should be proud. Not too mention you have every right to be bored. IMO it sounds as if your just taking a break. Good luck @ UNLV. I love that town!!

email, I'm in the Jewelry busness myself but on the manufacturing side I'd like to hear what you did.
