Ok guys got another one for ya.. The night i installed the msp turbo kit on my car i went to go for a test ride and backing out the driveway a big cloud of smoke and freon came from under the hood so when i cheked it out i saw all the uv oil where the radiator rubber sits and figured i blew my condenser cuz i used a zip tie to hold the civic rad im using on and ran the zip tie thru the condenser... So then i bought a condesner from a member on here a msp one and got the accumulator pipe from another member on here and today finally charged up the system... Here we go......
First thing is i vacuumed out the system then went to recharge.system it was full with only 1 12oz can of freon that was the first red flag.. but it was blowing cool so i left it idling and then a few min later a big cloud of smoke and freon all over again and uv die on the same location as last time.
So then i spoke to a master tech friend of mine and he said its building too much presure and blowing out the high side pressure valve on the hose on the compressor.. (makes sense to me)... So he said i probably have a restriction...
but here is the thing.. It worked just fine before turboing the car i had both stock fans and stock p5 rad then but now i am using a civic half rad with 1 slim fan on it that i bought off a member on here n i wonder if its insufficient cooling somehow? (dont see how that would affect the ac system but u never know) The car does not over heat on idle or driving but i do know after i been in boost for a lil bit in city driving when i shut it off it boils out the reservoir so im pretty sure i need a bigger rad. but will that affect my ac n make it over pressurize?
Could it be the slim fan?
Im completely lost on this. even thought about installing the other slim fan in front of condenser since i read if the condenser is not cooled thoroughly it would overpressureize and could do this blow out thing too..
Any help would b appreciated
