Finally got mine on today....looks a lot better then the Protege5 badge. I also got around to taking the dealership sticker off below the 323 badge.

I wanna get a 323 badge for my car but I'm unsure about this from what i've read...does the part # work? is the german site the only place to order from if my dealer can't get it? how is the install, how do you take the old one off, how is installing the new one?

I am not sure of the part number, but install is easy. I got mine for a trade, so I am lucky.

Take off P5 badge. Get some DSR remover at a car parts place. Made by the guys who make PB Blaster. The DSR gets rid of the glue, and I just used t to put on the badge, and shave my side moldings in an hour.

Use fishing line or flosss and basically cut the badge off, and there are 2 pegs holding it to the body. I pulled up n the badge a little to get past the first peg, the rest is a snap. Then clean off the glue. I got some indoor/outdoor Scotch brand ashesive tape inthe paint section of Home Depot. I laid it on the 323F badge, cut to fit. I then put the pegs through the holes and onto the car, pressed it flat, and done.

there's a well known small shop in tokyo that sells overseas mazda parts... the protege badges are some of the many items

the P5 tail lights are standard on 2003 models in japan.... europe got them too, but they also had a rear fog light on the driver's side (in place of the reverse light)
