Would installing a corksport SRI void my warranty/would I have to remove it every time I take it in for service since I don't think its approved by California Carb EO?

I need to pass California smog and currently have a cold air intake. I'd like to either borrow or buy the OEM intake for a 2006 Mazda3 (Touring / 4 dr).

*SOLD Only has about 1200 miles on it. The 651 says its for the 2.0/2.3L but I got it for my 2.5 after reading the forums and finding that people had better luck w/ it over the 658 w/ the cel. It worked great for me but a little too loud for my liking. SOLD.

Hello Friends, I'm quite new here, but I remember reading somewhere that the stock intake could be modified/ certain parts deleted for slightly better airflow. I've been searching the forums for a couple hours now for a how-to, but I can't seem to find one anywhere. Perhaps you can help?
