Zoom Zoom BOOM!

Hey guys, sorry for lack of posting this past week. No internet access usually mon-fri and ive been crazy busy this weekend. Anywho, car went in finally on Thursday. The dealer came to this conclusion: Needs new motor. They are saying yes turbo is blown, but there is low compression in more than one cylinder, warranting a new motor. However, Mazda NA wont ship a new one until they get receipts showing oil changes. Problem with that, I don't have any. I buy all my oil from wal-mart and usually end up trashing the receipts. I keep a log though of when its changed with the date, but they want proof. Looks like im going to be in for small battle.

if u can't provide receipts and records then consider your warranty denied...guaranteed

Mitsubishi tried that BS with me a long time ago....a lawyer will fix that quickly. No where in the warranty does it state that you need to keep oil change records...

Mazda will have the burden of proof to establish that the failure is oil related if they go that route in denying a warranty claim.

I've seen this too many times on this forum to count.
I just had my oil changed today. Stapled my receipt for the Mobil1 oil from Walmart to the invoice from the shop for the change ( I don't do it myself ). Every oil change is done by the same shop and all the invoice copies are filed. If I ever zoom zoom boom, I will have full documentation for these Mazda bitches. No test pipe or BPV or even an inlet on my car until after the warranty expires. Just an SRI I can quickly swap for now.

you have to know someone that knows someone that has a small shop. take your receipts and some cash and have them write you up some receipts for the dates you bought and changed your oil.
