Zoom zoom BoOm x2.

seems like something started slipping fast as the RPM's flew up......the operator was quick when he saw that happen.

sad, sad, sad......

I'd say he pegs it/the rpm's stop increasing for less than 1 second... It pegs, holds for a fraction and then the breakup/pitch change occurs and he jumps on the clutch immediately.

Yeah... and nothing slipped.. that speedo takes off right with the rpm's... fricken pulls hard as hell right up to that end there... I can't tell what the tack is getting to... the only thing I hear is the pitch of the motor change like it hits a rev limiter. I don't even hear anything significant as far as detonation or the like...

I'm not sure, but I don't see it going over 6000 RPM

yeah...after watching it a few more times your right...seems like something gave right when the turbo hit full boost. just what I can get though

Look at the tach. Barely 2 seconds.

Nothing slipped... watch the speedo.

Watched it a couple more times... definitely doesn't make it to the red marks on the stock tach... so that's gotta be between 6,000 and 6,500... it runs in to a brick wall right at that point.. holds, and then freaks out and the operator get's off of it... very weird!

Well, the problem is clear there...I could hear detonation, very bad f@#$% detonation even on the exhaust....
I suppose this is a stock ecu right?
It didnt even got to the rev limiter

D'ont look at the picture, just listen. The last second as idgrasil says, she's detonating BAD.

Jajajaja and thats not slipping clutch, that was a lot of boost, lots of power, check the speedometer. When clutch slipping happens, it wont speed up.

i can hear it all you hear is it over revving then burrrrrrrrrr & then more over reving

What about oil pump failure? I know it's a long shot, but if the squirters failed at a high RPM, heat could build very quickly around the rim of the pistons. Also, the lack of lubrication could cause binding.

I'd like to know:
Oil levels?
Coolant levels?
Oil pump working fine?
Injectors (especially #1) working fine?
Fuel pump working fine?

Something slipped according to the dyno operator. Thats why it stopped sampling. The datalogg made it look much more dramatic than that. After I watched it was apparent that this finsihed the motor off, but it must have been hurt before.

I just got off the phone with Nick..... I am undecided still in what I want to do.

I must say, operators should only stick to their job, dynos.

You know your car, and you know when something wrong is happening.

This really sucks man, I would feel very dissapointed because, those are forged internals that were just trashed.

Damn I feel tha pain.

The mechanic that let me borrow his compression gauge at the dyno shop will attest to my oil pump being fine. lol

Maybe something slipped, clutch or tires. When something slips, the dyno wont stop sampling, you will only see a drop in torque and some drop or linear HP.

Is it possible to post the dynograph?

So were you ever able to watch the datalog? If not, post it up so we can check it out. Definatly ruled out the rev limiter and over rev's with that video, 6-6500 MAX. I'm thinking maybe you didn't have enough timing out. You were puling only 9 degree's up that high, what kind of timing have other MSP's pulled at that boost level.............Focus???

It does seem wierd that #1 is so bad, but the others are pretty clean. Wouldn't all the pistons have a lot of detanation if it were detonating THAT bad? Kinda makes you think the detonation wasn't the only thing. Did that chunk of metal come out of #1? Maybe that caused all the damage to the piston?

I don't have it. I believe Slug420 does though. The graph showed it pegging 1200ft/lbs. It stopped reading rpms when it slipped..

I do my own work, wether that be good/bad. This way I can only blame myself when s*** like this happens.
